I love the Tessuti top! It’s a free download from Tessuti Fabrics, a fabric store based in Australia. All levels of sewers will love this top. It sews up quick and provides lots of opportunities for customization. On mine I lengthened the sleeves about 3 inches and didn’t interface it or even do bias binding, I just folded over the edge and stitched. I wrote a bit more on this top HERE. All in all I love the top, belted or not, and it’s one of the tops that I reach for time and time again. What do you think? Love it or not so much?
I love how it folds in the back when belted.
And, finally a side view.
Did I really write “propertys?”

Okay, I just can’t leave a project alone until I investigate all angles and test all the propertys of various fabrics and alterations, it seems. So after making my own, and not being fully satisfied — fault of thick cotton jersey, which was more stiff than drapey — I revisited the pics on the original site. Check out the young gal with curly hair who made a striped one. She has your physique, Jill. I think she cut her pattern down. Check out the neckline, and also most seem to have three vertical breaks in the fabric on both sides of mid-line, she only has one per side, if I remember correctly. What do you think?

Almost? What’s stopping you?

What needle did you use? Did you use a straight stitch for the seams? I think it looks really nice on you, Jill!

Good question. I used a ball point needle and just used a regular straight stitch. I can’t wait to make more, maybe with a silk.
