Sewing and the New Year!

vintage-happy-new-year
I love the New Year. I can’t help but get excited to leave the old year behind and fully embrace the New Year coming. Like many sewers, quilters and crafters I like to think about all the wonderful new things I’ll be sewing and creating. What new techniques will I tackle this year, what new fabrics will I create with, who will I be inspired by?

Oh, all the possibilities in a yard or two of fabric!

With much planning, writing and sewing a few members of the Denver Sewing Collective decided to launch a new blog, Denver Sews.  We will write about our sewing adventures and mis-adventures, goings on around town and the world (we’ve got a few world travelers in our group who yes, hit fabric stores no matter the country or time zone) and we hope Denver Sews can teach veterans sewers a new trick or possibly encourage a new sewist who’s just starting out. Or at the very least commiserate with a sewing mishap or two (or three).

Whatever the reason, we hope you stop by Denver Sews and leave a comment or share something you’ve learned in your own sewing adventures.

Happy New Year and Happy Sewing!

We love to hear from you!
