Tish Gance will be teaching members of Denver Sewing Collective how to obtain perfect fit with sewing patterns at the Fit Fest. Tish owns the sewing studio HISS Studios – in Denver, Colorado and we are so lucky to have her present this class.
Tish has been sewing for over 30 years and started sewing about the same time she started working on cars as a teen. Her first sewing projects were cat toys and she sewed her own fancy dress for a relative’s wedding at the age of 10.
Tish is very much in to vintage patterns and styles and finds wonderful ways to modernize them for her body type and sense of fashion. Tish has been teaching others the art of sewing for about 10 years and loves getting others jazzed about sewing and making beautiful things to wear.
Tish found a need for quality sewing classes at affordable prices. Classes that offered an in depth look at technique and the why’s of construction. In order to be able to give her students as many options as possible to execute quality results, Tish has extensively studied the fine art of sewing and has ventured into pattern modification to hone her skills. Tish also enjoys drafting her own designs and patterns for herself.
A little over a year ago Tish decided to take her sewing classes to a dedicated space in Denver. There she teaches a variety of sewing classes to all levels of seamstresses (or sewers, whichever one might call themselves). Her classes are Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sunday afternoons.
If you are in the Denver and would be interested in learning more about Tish and HISS Studio please check out her website for contact information and classes listed.
